I fell in love with this photo months ago and the same feeling rushed back to me today. I soon realized that we never released the full wedding on the blog! We’re a tad late but the photos are definitely fitting with the warm weather finally reaching us!

Paul & Jacqueline were wed on Paul’s uncles farm in Virginia. The detail and personalization on the wedding day was a result of the labor of love of so many family and friends who helped out. The signs were made by uncles, the grass cut by friends, flowers arranged by college friends and music played by those closest to them.

Jacqueline spins in her flowing JCREW dress.At the stables just down the path from the Ceremony.Nothing says Southern more than a blue grass band playing at the cocktail hour. The band was a perfect match for this outdoor farm wedding!The Mother of the Bride who could have easily been confused as a bridesmaid.Once the reception concluded, guests were invited to camp out and enjoy an enormous bonfire just yards from the dance floor.

We set for a hike from Riomaggiore to Manarola, often times needing to find cover from the torrential rains that quickly fell at  a moments notice. The winds were intense as you could tell from the violent waves crashing below.

Three windows up was my room overlooking this amazing little fishing port on the Italian coast called, Riomaggiore. At around 6 AM I jumped out of bed, grabbed the camera, tripod, and a bag with leftover deli meat. I distinctly remember the scent of salt remnants stuck to the hallway walls as I made my way to the ocean level. While waiting for the light to transform I made myself a sopressata & pecorino half-wich over a baguette. Peeking through the viewfinder I composed the shot I had dreamt of capturing 5 years prior to that moment.

This particular image saw no editing in post.
